A stag do? No ...Its a bit deer!

Good Morning to you all in the land of blogger! It's a cold and Frosty one this morning! I have just been out to top up the fridge with food for the New Year Celebrations and to get bread and milk and a few other bits and pieces!

So now whilst Colin makes us a bit of breakfast....bacon butties....I thought I would share a couple of cards from the last Claritystamp show on Create and Craft at the start of December! These two cards used the Oak and deer set. I do like this set.
The first one used the Deer's head and the Leaves. I started off by creating a background using Sandstone and rose red brushos.
I let this dry then stamped the deer at the bottom in Brown archival. I then stamped the leaves in distress inks I used rusty hinge and spiced marmalade and Walnut stain.
I coloured the stag in with my whisper markers and then stamped one of the new words in Brown archival ink. I used Awesome from Word Chain 9 but to be honest any of the words would be great!

Here is the card

The next card I made a background on the Gelli Plate using the large leaves stencil. I made a heart shape using a piece of paper to make the aperture.
I stamped the deer in this space and then coloured him with whisper markers.
I stamped the solid leaf and the acorn in brown archival round the bottom of the heart shape. I love that little acorn!
I do think that the deer looks a very majestic animal so the work strength was used on the card from Word Chains 12 .

And here it is!

I hope you liked these two! Let me know what you think please by leaving a comment below!

Wonderful Foxes

Well Good evening to you! I thought I would share with you one of the Cards I made for the December ClarityStamp Show on Create and Craft at the start of the month.

It uses the Foxes Kit and one of the new words from Word Chain set 11. I love the Word Chain Sets and to have more to choose from is just Fabulous! All the new sets extend the range and selection really well and work independently or together.

Anyway here is the Card I made

I started off by stamping the foxes in brown Archival ink...I used potting soil
I then masked it off and added a moon mask.

I added hills with using a piece of torn paper using my brown ink brush....I didn't add any more ink....it's amazing how much they hold!
I then brushed blue over the sky again not adding ink to the blue brush.
I removed the mask off the foxes and the moon and coloured in the foxes using the spectrum noir pencil crayons. I added shadow under the foxes with a make up sponge then stamped the grasses in green Archival ink all the way across the bottom.
I then stamped the word Wonderful over the top of the moon.
I then matted and layered onto brown pearlescent card then on to orange before putting onto an 8 x 8 card blank.

Hope you liked it!

It's a frosty day!

Good afternoon folks.

Its a cold one here today! We still have hailstones on our lawn from yesterday!

But all is well in the Telford Household and tomorrow after the Claritystamp Show on Create and craft at 9 - 11am Christmas will arrive as Colin and I will be putting up the tree and other decorations!

In the meantime I realised that I have been a bad blogger again and not posted many of last months cards so here are a couple using the Winds of Change stamps..

This first one using the winds of Change set started off as a background made using shaving foam and distress reinkers. I added the hills with torn paper and ink then stamped the tree, man with the brolly and the sentiment in black archival.

The next one used the tree from the same set. This time I stamped onto black card in versamark and added white glittery embossing powder. I matted onto white then black card before putting onto a white card blank. I added 4 gems to the corners. I made sure I had dusted the card with talc before I stamped it. This helps to stop you sliding and also helps to stop the powder sticking to the card where you don't want it!

Right I am off to have a play with some secret stuff!!!
Have a good weekend

Trees

Good Morning to you!
And Happy December! Hope it's a good one to all of you!

Over at the Clarity blog Challenge there is a new challenge for you to take part in and what a great idea to have this as a challenge in National Tree week.

I always think of the poem by Joyce Kilmer when I think of trees.

Trees

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Just Lovely!

Anyway for my card I used the Large walnut tree stamp.
I stamped and embossed it in white on black and then black on white. I then mounted these side by side onto silver mirri card.
I stamped a seperate border using the leaf set 4 and the sentiment then attached it all to the front of a card blank.

And here it is!
Hope that you like it. There are lots of fabulous inspiration over at the challenge blog! I think you should have a look then Have a go!
