A little bit girly!

I want to share two cards I made for the last Claritystamp show on Create and Craft.

They were both made using the stencils and stamps to go with them. I used a stencil to create the background. I used raspberry ink on the dress and sail boat blue on the shoe card. I also used a corresponding wow embossing powder to emboss the stamping.

I was quite pleased with how they looked as a set. They were also quite quick to make if you needed a emergency card!

Thanks for looking

Travel

Good Morning to you and welcome to November! Outside it looks more like the summer than almost winter although there is a chill in the air when you do venture outside.

As with the start of every month comes the start of a new challenge over at the Clarity Challenge blog! Last month we saw some amazing projects. You are all just getting better and better! I can't wait to see what entries you come up with this month!

The theme of Travel brings to mind holidays and trips out to the country so just the thing to keep us going as the darker nights creep in!

When I first saw the title I immediately thought of the hot air balloons that I have in my clarity stamps stash but then I thought that a lot of people may use them and wanted to do something a bit different. I remember doing a grid car a while back and thought that would be perfect to use many different stamps. I then had to locate all the stamps that could be linked to travel... not so easy as they are all on acetate now and in folders. However I got an assortment together and off I went.

A piece of Theuva card trimmed by 2 cm off each side and masking tape at the ready, two ink pads....sailboat blue and raspberry.... and we were off on our travels! Each panel was masked off and created before moving onto the next...pink round two edges and blue round the opposite two.

Then the little scenes were created before masking off the adjoining squares. I even used the ink pads to stamp with so that the colours all blended. It did take some time but I think it was worth it.

Once I had done all the panels I brushed round the edges with blue then matted onto a piece of raspberry pearlescent card then onto white then onto a piece of blue before attaching it to the front of an A5 card blank.

I found the little wooden tag and coloured it using the two ink pads then wrote Travel on it using a black fineliner. I added a bit of garden twine and some gems and here is the finished card!

I hope you will be inspired to have a go yourself and if this is not enough then pop over to the rest of the design teams pages...there are some stunning projects for you to see.

Don't forget to enter you must use clarity stamps only but there is a fabulous prize of a voucher for £50 on offer to a randomly selected entry. It could be you!

And don't forget Barbara will be on Create and Craft tomorrow (Sunday) 9 - 11am with some fabulous new stamps and stencils.

Happy Crafting
